NextGenPCR™ thermal cyclers enable ultrafast PCR, up to 30 runs per hour, with accurate temperature control. Therefore NextGenPCR™ thermal cyclers use far less energy. NextGenPCR™ ultrafast thermal cyclers accept 96-well plates as well as 384-well plates seamlessly.
The NextGenPCR™ Thermal Cycler is an accurate and energy-efficient thermal cycler designed for ultra-fast PCR. Our patented NextGenPCR™ technology eliminates temperature ramping times by moving samples between three heating zones, each corresponding to a different temperature. As a result, the NextGenPCR™ Thermal Cycler significantly reduces the duration of PCR runs compared to conventional Peltier-based thermal cyclers, which rely on continuously heating and cooling a single heating block. In addition to shorter PCR runs, the three constant heating zones contribute to considerably reduced power consumption compared to Peltier-based thermal cyclers.
The NextGenPCR™ must be used with specially designed NextGenPCR™ Microplates made of ultra-thin polypropylene. The flexible nature of these microplates allows them to be compressed between the two heating blocks of each heating zone, resulting in instant heat transfer and sample mixing. The NextGenPCR™ Microplates are currently available in 96×20 µL and 384×5 µL formats, or customizable to your preference (inquire).
